Don Quixote
Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra is the most influential and well-known novelist, poet and playwright in Spain as well as in the world. He wrote the most famous Don Quixote, a well loved book by most Spanish people, one of the most favorite literary works of most Europeans. This book made a very huge impact in the life of the Spanish people, as Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra was born in Spain, making the country also popular in the world when it comes to literature.
It is believed that Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra and William Shakespeare died on the same day, April 23 and so the UNESCO declared the day of April 23 a very special day or known as the International Day of the Book.
